We are a party of 11 who have 3 rooms reserved at ASMo. We decided to get the UPH but starting the 2nd day of our stay (a 3nt/4day UPH). I called to make the reservation of the UPH and was told by CRO that I could not make this reservation (for the UPH) over the phone, I would have to purchase them at check-in but since they were for the next day, we would still have the advance purchase price. Now I know that the CM's answering the phones at CRO are not always right, and this actually contradicts what Mousesavers.com has listed. Can anyone tell me for sure that they have done this and received the "advance purchase" discount or not? I'm totally confused TIA:confused:

I wanted UPH's and we were staying at the Swan. I was told I could purchase them there when we arrived at their Disney desk, but it was full price - no advance purchase discount. I don't know if that is because the Swan is not a "Disney-owned" hotel or if it was that we were purchasing them when we arrived. It cost a little more, but worked out fine. I actually ended up not purchasing it for the first day there as we were tired and just went to the Boardwalk and mini-golfing.

Generally, UPH passes are for your entire length of stay. They are usually offered as part of a complete package, like the Dreammaker. That is probably why you can't get them ahead of time as an add-on to a room-only reservation.

We are a party of 27!!! We are driving to disney so we didn't want to pay for park admission on our arrival or departure days as we would not be using it. We booked room only on arrival date for us is 11/24. We booked dreammaker 11/25-11/28. We booked room only for 11/29.

Even though our dreammaker package is just through 11/28 for room it actually gives us park admission until midnight on 11/29.

We calculated this saved us about $100 per person for our trip.

We have to check in and out 3 times, but they told me that there was a note on our res and to remind the front desk that we have continuous reservations and they would not make us change rooms.

I know it sounds complicated, but it was worth the $500 it saved us.

If you have anymore questions just let me know. I had to tell the reservation agent what I wanted and really push to get her to do it. I have made all the reservations for everyone in our party and have found that you just have to call and be specific and stand your ground.

Many Blessings
Lia

You will not get the advance purchase price. If you remain on a single reservation you will only be able to do this at check in where you will pay the higher gate price. You will still save about $25 on each adult UPH and $20 on each child UPH by buying the 3 night at check in over the 4 day in advance.

Your only other option is to do as liabeea did. Make a separate one night reservation for your first night, then a three night reservation for the remainder of your stay. That way you can add the 3 night UPH to the second reservation at the advance price.

I just asked the same question earlier today.. scroll down to see my previous post. I was told this morning by one CM that I had to purchase the UPH for my entire length of stay. We are arriving at 8:00 pm and I didn't want it for that first day.

I had read before that you can drop off the first or last day if you book separate reservations. So, I called back and talked to another CM- she said it was no problem and did a "split-reservation". I had to put a deposit down for each ressie, but I still received the advanced purchase price for the UPH. I would call back and talk to someone else, because it can be done.

Thank you all very much for your replies. We decided to just keep it the way it is and pay the extra $20, like Golden Oldie said, it still is a savings from the 4-day PH and we get to go to DQ and PI, which is what we wanted. (I'll save this little tid bit for my next trip.) You guys are the best, thanks again. :teeth:

We did a split stay in May with a room only ressie for the first night than 8 days/7 nights Dreammaker package with UPH.

We checked in May 13 and DID have to change rooms. The CM who checked us in said there was no other way we could stay in the original room. Seemed kind of stupid... we checked out at 8:00 am the next day and our new room was already ready - seemed fishy but what was I to do.

So the moral of the story is this - you may have to change rooms and be prepared to do so.
