Just wondering abt upgrading to avail of free half board. Do I need to change hotel or can I just add on an extra like BB show?
Also I booked with travel agent so do I change booking with them?

Hi and welcome to the DISboards .

Firstly yes, you will have to get your travel agent to try to upgrade for you, if you booked through a travel agent.

The terms & conditions for an "exchange of package" to upgrade without admin/cancellation fees (as long as you haven't booked your transport included with your hotel) are as follows -

a modification of the number of guests sharing the same hotel room,
an extension or reduction of the duration of stay,
a change of hotel,
a change of room type,
a change of dates,
a change of age category.

so you need to do one of the above, and be paying DLP more money (even if its only a pound or 2) under the new offer, to be able to upgrade.

We're not looking to upgrade at the moment, but I was wondering how this worked with adding the additional adult thing.

For example. We booked on the 2 days 2 nights offer for October this year, 1 room 1 adult 1 child, another room 1 adult (as two of us have annual passes - total 4 adults 1 child going!). From the 25th (tomorrow) the 30% off and free half board offer applies to our booked dates. If the offer is worth upgrading to, would the additional adults for each room (added on check in) also get the free half board?

Also, we've booked in the Santa Fe, and don't really want to change that, or dates, or any of the stipulations you've mentioned above..... so would we even be able to upgrade (IF we wanted to!)?

Its only the people booked in on the package who would get free half board, not anyone you add to the room at check~in.

you could look at upgrading your room type at the santa fe, to buffalo or rio grande, if the nrw offer works out better for you. you could even change your dates then change them back again ~ thats all okay under the terms of an exchange of package

Aha! I see! Ok, so only 2 adults and 1 child would get the half board. Good to know! And the Buffalo / Rio Grande might be an idea.

Well the price for our dates on today's deal wasn't any better (even taking in to account the half board) that what we booked originally, quite a bit more expensive in fact, so I'm happy.
