Upgrading to park hopper

Can I upgrade to park hopper tickets later if I buy from undercover tourist? Is there a reason not to get an "eticket" from UT? Need to buy my ticket today, but have never bought from anyone buy Disney and it's making me nervous.

If you already have MagicBands linked to your MDE Profiles, no harm in getting etickets.

If you purchase etickets and you don't have MagicBands linked to MDE, you'll have to convert that eticket to a plastic ticket when you arrive at the park, or, buy MBs to link to the Profiles.

Now I'm confused....how do I get a magic band without a ticket? That's what I want. A magic band and an eticket linked up to an MDE account. And can we upgrade to park hoppers at the park if that's what we end up wanting to do? Will i just buy the magic band from disney? I want to buy my park ticket before the price is likely to increase here in the next month.

If you are staying on site they will mail you magic bands. If not, you can buy them retail from Disney. You can always add park hoppers. The tickets and magic bands are linked through your MDE account online.

Are you staying on property? They will send you a magic band. If you aren't, you have to purchase one at the parks or online. You can upgrade to park hoppers at the park once you enter for the first time. I purchased tickets for our 2015 trip from Park Savers. I then linked it to MDE as soon as I had the ticket number so I could book Fast Passes. Once I got to Disney, I converted the eticket to a plastic ticket at the Swan (where we stayed). Then, I went to HS and made a Star Wars magic band at Launch Bay, which I then linked to MDE and the plastic ticket. It's actually easier than it sounds. You don't really need a magic band unless you are staying on property (we weren't). I just wanted it so the Photo Pass photographers could scan my pix.
