Upgrading to business class-Airtran

I am looking for information on what is included if you upgrade at check in to business class on airtran? Is it worth it?

2 free checked bags
priority boarding
free drinks (alcohol)
upgraded snack type items free

I did it all the time and found it worth it. I also did it with my Airtran poiints when I did.

At some airports there is a business/first class security line that u qualify for too when u upgrade. Much shorter lines....and there is such a special line at MCO and last time we were there it was to the very left of the security cluster.

We usually use credits and A+ rewards points to upgrade and it is worth it for us.

I'm a Southwest employee and I wished that they had added a Business Section when SWA converted to the new Evolve seating.

We upgrade all the time but only with points, love flying business class, especially on the way to our destination, really puts us in the mood! We sure make use of our free drinks!

I got two free Biz class upgrades with my CC deal. Here is the deal, I want to use a Biz class upgrade for the 2 free bags, but do NOT wish to move my seat as I need to sit with my 2 kids ages 5 and 3 at time of travel. Will they allow me to use a Biz class upgrade but stay way back in row 27, just so I can sut with my kids while still getting the 2 free bags?

If you do not mind have another credit card, this is fabulous. I did this before our recent WDW trip. I charged the airfare and WDW tickets, total was a bit over 2K. I wound up with 32 A+ rewards, plus 2 business class upgrade vouchers. I used my 32 points for 4 upgrades each way, and still have 2 vouchers left. You could use the rewards for whatever you want, upgrades, flights, etc. Not bad for a $69 fee. My upgrades alone saved me $712. I may keep at renewal, I may not.

No way. Your kids have to be ticketed in the same cabin as you, or you have to pay for them to be unaccompanied minors.
