Upgrading to AP

We are going to Disney Oct 12-18 on a trip we paid cash for. Included in our package are 7 day park hopper tickets. We are currently in ROFR for our first DVC contract. If we were to pass ROFR and close before our trip (and I know that is a big IF at this point), is it possible to upgrade our 7 day park hopper tickets to a DVC annual pass while we are there in October? If we can do that, do we just pay the difference between a 7 day park hopper price and a DVC annual pass price? If I'm looking at this right, that would mean we would only pay about $100 more per adult? Could that be right? Thanks in advance!

I didn't check your dollar amount, but yes, everything else you said is correct. You will need your membership card.

Thank you for the quick reply. Unfortunately, even if we can close before our trip I doubt we would have our membership card from Disney by then. Seems like I might be cutting it too close. Its a shame because that would have been a great deal!

If your membership account gets setup, you can get Member ID cards at several locations around WDW:
Preview Center & SSR
AKV Kidani Village
BLT

Thanks so much. I will keep that in mind in case we close before we go down. I would love to get a great deal on AP because I know we are going to want to go again soon for our first trip as DVC members!

If you paid for your park tickets from disney they are upgradeable until before the last day of use. If the tickets are complimentary tickets they are not exchangeable in any fashion what so ever. I unfortunately found that out when I had several tickets that I got at a church fundraising auction.
