Upgrading to Annual Pass?

I have read the sticky, but still kind of confused. So I am hoping someone could help me figure this out!!

My family of 4 adults, we were going to buy AP's on Nov 10th 2012, I understand they are good until Nov 10th of 2013. I then have 30 days after this date to renew, is this correct, and that would make my date Nov 10 of 2014.



I then was thinking, we need to have a few days to visit with friends in park the week before Nov 10th date,( exact date would be Nov 4th and 8th) but It will not work for us to get AP's any earlier or the next year we would not be able to use the Ap's again.

So I have no idea if and how this would work, was if I bought UT"S ( which I am not sure which is the best tickets to buy) to upgrade to AP when we get there. But not upgrading til after we have used the tickets for two times then upgrading, I was wondering if my AP date is from the first time I used the UT tickets ( because this obvisouly would not work either), or it my AP date from the date I upgraded. I hope I am not confusing anyone, because I am confused.

Anyone input would be highly appreciated. Any other options would be great as well. I just dread the thought of buying a 2 day ticket for the first week.

To upgrade to an AP, the renewal date is the date of first use of the UT tickets, so this would not work for you.

If you upgrade Magic Your Way tickets to an Annual Pass, the start date of the pass is the first date you used the MYW tickets.
