Can you upgrade a five day consecutive pass for an annual pass? The reason I ask is we are going in a couple weeks and then MAY go again in May as a surprize for the kids (yes we are feeling a bit guilty going without them this time). If we could upgrade, we would really save ourselves a bit of money - and then I could pretty much guarentee DH will go back ;) (we have the two free nights at the HRH). If we could do this, about how much would it cost?

Thanks everyone!

YES!!!!

We did this when we were there in August. We had length of stay passes and upgraded to AP at Guest Services. We were charged the difference between the AP rate and the price we paid for our LOS passes. As a bonus, the GS rep gave us the Burger King deal which allowed us to get a second year free when we purchased the AP. We had paid $130 for each of our LOS passes. The upgrade cost us about $45 per person. This gave a TWO year AP for less than we would have paid for one day admission.

I do not know if the Burger King deal is still on, but it is worth a try.

So an AP is around $180 dollars? That may not be worth it then - another five day pass would be the same price :( And, we will definately only be going these two times before Nov. 2004. I wish we would have done it in July.

The Preferred Pass is about $170 plus tax. You can get a Power Pass for $110, although this pass does not include any of the perks (like free parking and dining/shopping/hotel discounts) and has blackout dates. There do not appear to be any blackout dates for May 2004 listed on the website. Check out http://www.uoannualpass.com The info on the two types of passes is under the login area.

If you are going to get an annual pass, I would get the preferred. The other one is cheaper, but it does not include anything but admissions. We saved alot of money on meals, shopping and so forth. Definitely worth checking out.

But remember u can get a AP then the power pass as only 1 person in your party needs to have a full AP to get the discounts so that brings cost down again thats what we are doing in march

That is a great idea!! We only need one of those cards for discounts - I think I will try to talk DH into it before our trip -wish me luck!! Oh, and look at my countdown clock - HOORAY!!!

Less than 3 weeks u lucky thing my timer is drepessing me now

I agree, you should get the AP. It does save you money on food and merchandise. I probably can get a $10 meal for only $6.50. For theme park food prices, that isn't too bad. I bought my AP with the Burger King 2nd Year Free Deal at Spencers Gifts in September for $181 including tax. I just had to go over to Vacation Services at IOA, fill out a form, get it entered into the computer, get my picture taken, and receive my pass. It didn't take too long, only about 10-15 mins.

The time will go by so fast, don't worry! And you will be during the holidays, so I am jealous!!!
