Upgrading to an annual pass

My husband and I bought a package through a travel agent. We were thinking of upgrading to an annual pass. Right now we have 3 day MYW tickets with park hopper option. My question is, when would be the best time to do this? Before or after we are there? I have no idea how much we paid for the 3 day MYW tickets because it was a package deal. I'm assuming the cost of those tickets will be deducted from the cost of the AP? I'm not even sure I'm posting this on the right thread...... Any help and/or opinions are needed..... Thanks

I would recommend doing it anytime on your first day. That way you will be able to get passholder discounts for the rest of your trip.

Yes, they will credit the value of your tickets toward the APs.
