Ok so we are trying to make sure our budget holds for our trip. We are planning to do a 4 day trip (time in the park). I am wondering the best way to buy tickets. My credit union sells 3 day park hoppers. Can i buy those and then pay the 10 or 15 dollar difference at the park to upgrade them to 4 day. My credit union prices are lower than even the online purchase. Will i have any difficultly considering this? Or does it not matter. Do they even have a way to se how much you paid for them. Any help would be appricated!

I'm not 100% sure on this & how it's done....but we inquired about upgrading our parkhoppers (bought on a travel plan thru Disney) & asked how much we paid (so I could figure the difference ahead of time for upgrading to AP's). They told us they'd couldn't tell me that but Disneyland would be able to look that up on a different program. Not sure it works that way with tickets purchased elsewhere. What I would recommend doing is....... get a receipt for the purchase of the tickets & take that with you when upgrading. Then there shouldn't be any question on what you paid & what the difference should be to upgrade.

Hopefully someone else on the boards will have experience with this & they can guide you thru the process better.

When you upgrade the price you paid for your tickets is encoded on them, you will be charged the difference between what you paid and the gate prices for the tickets you want.
