Upgrading Tickets to AP, FP+?

I'm planning on buying 6 day park hopper, waterpark & more, with no expiration tickets, then upgrading these tickets to Annual Passes. I think I have it figured out:

Annual Pass with tax is $675.21
Undercover Tourist 6 day park hopper, waterpark & more with no expiration: $577.47
Regular Rate: $649.65
Which means I will have to pay: $25.56

Leaves me with a savings of: $72.18

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

But my question is, when I upgrade to Annual Pass will it delete my fastpass+ reservations? Also, is there a limit of how many days Annual Passholders can make reservations for? I plan to be in Disney for 10 to 12 days this trip.

Thanks in advance.

With AP's you can only get 7 days worth of FP's within a 30 day period. Not 7 consecutive days...just any 7 days.

So, if you're going to be at the parks for 10-12 days you can only book, for instance, the first 7 days of FP's. We found this to be a problem with a mixed group where my DH and I have AP's and the rest of our group had 10 day passes for a 14 day trip. I could book their full 10 days worth of FP in advance thru MDE, but I could only book 7 days for DH and I. Luckily we weren't a picky group so I just booked the 7 days for all of us and then booked the other three days worth to complete the trip onsite after the first three days had been used.

My vote for the next round of FP improvements is that they extend the AP holders to 10 days worth of FP's to match the largest MYW pass.

Just a small correction. IF you are staying on property you can make more than 7 days worth of FPs. You can make them for as many days as your stay.

Slight hijack....

We are going to upgrade to AP in Sept. We are concerned about FP+ reservations on our MYW tickets being lost during the upgrade. Anyone have experience with this? IMO, if the CM doing the upgrade loses the FP+ reservations, it is their responsibility for replacing/rebooking them.

Our safety net thought is to buy a 4-day ticket when we only plan to use 3 and do the upgrade as the last thing before we leave and we have no more FP+ reservations in the queue.

I upgraded during my sept trip and did not lose any FP+
