Upgrading Tickets/Price Bridging Confusion

Hi,
Help please So sorry if this has been answered before~~ couldn't find it

Here's my situation:

We have 1 day non expiring hopper with 3 water park entries left on the old paper (tyvek) tickets from 2003 and 2 days hopper non expiring left on a plastic ticket from around 2010 no water parks etc..
Can those be upgraded to AP's even though they were used a while back. I have no clue as to what i paid for them.
if they can't be upgraded to AP's can i add days to them and will they combine the 2 tickets into 1?
Will they let me keep the old paper ticket for my album once they've been cancelled out?

Tickets from prior to 2005 cannot be upgraded at all. They can only be used "as is".

Tickets purchased after Disney changed to MYW in 2005 can only be upgraded within 14 days after the first day of use and only if at least one entitlement remains on the ticket.

You cannot use 2 or more tickets to upgrade to a single ticket.

In any case, neither of your tickets can be upgraded to APs nor can they have days added. Sorry.

1. Don't expect to get a definitive answer by calling Disney. Sorry to say that you can get random different answers from random different CM's. 2. This situation has been much discussed on these boards this week. Click HERE for a huge thread about this. allears. really dropped the ball and created unnecessary stress with this "announcement." Bottom line: Tickets from discounters CAN be upgraded. 3. Disney knows exactly from whom you bought your tickets. That info transfers into your MDE account. Just to keep things as clear as possible- There is no reservation info, or ticket info, or credit card info, or FP+ info "put onto" a MagicBand. The MagicBands just contain a unique serial number that is used to access the information that is stored in your MyDisneyExperience computer file. So, even if you were to lose a MagicBand, the info stays locked in your file. Disney can just set up a new band (different serial number) to access the info in your MDE file. Disney can also issue ADDITIONAL MB's to a guest and each additional band can be used for the same purposes as the first band. So, yes, there can be multiple MB's per person, and each fo them can be used by that person. The MagicBand works like the combination to a locked safe, or a key to a locked door. Why does this distinction matter? Because there is so much fear about losing bands and, in turn, losing all of a guest's information thought to be on the band. The MB, itself, is not the file of info or the container of the info. The MB just unlocks the file of info, allowing it to be accessed when needed.

Thank you so much for your reply. You are very kind and I like your confidence that the tickets may be upgraded. I will check out that thread. I just don't want alot of trouble, you know it's a vacation! I guess I should've just bought direct from Disney.

So if i am understanding you correctly~~I will have to convert both those tickets to RFID tickets separately. Both tickets will keep all their entitlements. I don't want to lose any of the water parks.

It's been a while..(have had AP's for the last 3 years) but is there a Guest Service before you enter MK that can exchange them and is it where you pick up will call tickets for the MNSSHP etc.

One last question~~ will there be a CM before you enter the park to help with FP+ to set us up?

Yes, each ticket will need to remain separate even after converting them to RFID but they will retain all of their entitlements.

There is a GS location outside of the park entrance and you should be able to make your exchange there.

There are no FP+ kiosks outside of the park gates that I am aware of. You will need to enter the park in order to make your FP+ selections (unless you have a MB, in which case, you can select them up to 60 days in advance from the comfort of your home).

There is a list of FP+ kiosks for each park at the beginning of this thread:
