Upgrading tickets from free dining package to AP

I have a few questions...

if I book a free dining package for two people in the room and purchase the minimum 2 day tickets, I can upgrade one to an annual pass and get the amount of the 2 day credited, correct?

If the second person doesn't use their ticket at all, can it be saved to use on a later trip? Or will it expire within 14 days because it is tied to the room package?

Yes you can upgrade a two day ticket to an annual pass.

You can also hold on to a ticket to use at a later date. It will expire 14 days after the first time you use it. But if you don't use it then it won't expire.
