Upgrading tickets (adding Water Parks Fun & More option)

Sorry about another ticket question. :guilty: I'm really disappointed with myself for not knowing this... I should know this

I bought 10-day MYW tickets with the park hopping & no expiration options for our trips last September & November. (I bought them with our free dining package through DU, if that matters).

I have three days left on them, and would now like to add the Water Parks Fun & More option to them for our April trip. Is this possible, or is it too late? I thought I read somewhere (maybe Mousesavers) that you have to do this within 14 days of first use.

Also, if I can do this, the price is now $50 + tax (instead of $45) and includes water parks, PI & DQ... correct? Since I bought the no expiration option with my tickets, these new "plusses" will also never expire... correct?

One last thing... since my tickets were originally 10-day tickets, will I get 6 "plusses" on them, even though there are only 3 days left on them now? And, was it my imagination, or last year did it include only 5 "plusses" on a 10-day ticket? Did plus options include DQ last year?

Wow! That's alot I never knew I never knew... or thought I knew!
I'm so confused. I hope someone can help :guilty:

The 'official' answer is no - you would have had to add it on within that first 14 days. You can always plead your case to Guest Relations tho and see if they would be willing to help you out.

For non-expiring tickets, unused plusses, whether purchased with the ticket or added later, do not expire even if all the park days are used up.

As far as I know, adding Water Park Fun in 2006 (within 14 days of first usage) costs $53. regardless of when or where you bought the ticket, how much you paid, how many days were on the ticket, and how many days remain. For what is or was a 10 day ticket you get 6 plusses when buying with or adding Water Park Fun in 2006, 5 plusses for tickets bought in 2005 and used as-is in 2006.

Your only options now are 1) apply the dollar value remaining on the old ticket towards a new one with the WPF&M options on it (which won't be a heck of a lot of money since the tickets are front loaded in value) or 2) pleading your ignorance and throwing yourself on the mercy of a young, gullible Guest Relations CM.

I'd have more faith in #1 myself. ;)

I didnt know the answer either, and was extremely disappointed to find out that the Options needed to be added within 14 days of first use even if you have the NoExp. ticket.

It is one of those small details that is easily overlooked and not really explained when purchasing these tickets and often gets glossed over even here.

I tried pleading my case in December and I also called ticketing to no avail. You can try, but have a plan B.

Thanks everyone for answering my questions.

The Good News is: being stuck inside with all this snow this weekend, I had the chance to clean out some desk drawers, and found some old tickets with plusses left on them. Yippee! :thumbsup2

Even if pleading your case occasionally succeeds, the chances are much much worse over the telephone or by email or by snail mail.
