upgrading resort to deluxe

replied to a post on here but cant find it reguarding upgrading.
As i hve booked a package with Virgin in the UK i have to upgrade through them, well at the prices they are charging dont think so.We arrive 5th July which according to Disney is Value season, i have booked into POFQ so inquired about upgrading to WL, Virgin quoted me £1500 , which works out about $180 to 190 a night which personally i think is extortionate, anyone any thoughts on this, also would i be able to upgrade at the resort when i arrive.

I would bet you could upgrade at the resort. However, I am not sure how to suggest you go about it. Will you have a car? If so I would drive to WL and ask them what they can do for you before you check in at your moderate resort.

yes we have a car arranged for the time we are there, thanks for the input carola

just found prices on allears , do not know if prices are correct, POFQ is $139 + tax and WL is $205 + tax a night,do not know how Virgin work prices out but the difference is $ 812 for the 2 weeks but what Virgin quoted is $812 per person to get to the price they charged, whereas Disney charge for the room rate.
I know they have to make profits but i ask you an extra $1624
