I'm feeling a little frustrated! :guilty: I've spent my whole lunch hours on the phone to Disneyland Paris trying to upgrade my hotel for next month from Santa Fe to Sequoia Lodge.

When I first booked, i did so online using a deal I found on the Spanish site (I had to book it online as noone on the telephone would let me book using this offer!). I'm now trying to ring and upgrade to SQL using the current UK offer - which I've worked out will cost me about £150.00 extra.

I've spoken to two ladies in the US who point blank refused to do and would only doing it on the current Spanish offer which would cost me about another £400.00. I think spoke to one lady in the French office, but she couldn't understand what I was trying to do and quoted me a similar figure! :confused3

I'm beginning to feel like giving up, but I know a lot of people have had success at doing this sooooo.... please let me know what the trick to getting this agreed is!

DD is desperate to go swimming while we are away and as the days are going to be so long a think a swim and a chill out on the room will be very welcome - hence wanting to upgrade to a hotel with a pool!

I don't think people have managed to upgrade on different countries offers, it has to be from the same ou try. The other way would be to cancel and rebook

Oh pooh sticks! I was sure I'd read posts where people had! Guess we will have to stick at the Santa Fe after all!

I also don't think you can amend to a different country once you're booked. I can remember someone saying they were going to try and upgrade under another country's offer but I can't remember whether they ever came back and said if they were successful or not. Like Nikki suggested, how much would you lose if you were to cancel and rebook ..... is it worth doing?

As I'm within 60 days it will be a 35% cancellation charge, so that will be about £300 added then the extra cost of the upgrade would make it nearer £550 so more than just upgrading on the Spanish deal.

I think I will just leave it and spend the extra £250 on making the stay more magical in other ways :)

I think you're best leaving it, it sounds like alot of hassle and you could do alot at DLP with the extra spends! Getting close now :yay: xx

I've just tried to upgrade mine with the new offer ( free meal plan) thought I could add buffalo bill change room type, no way new bookings only !!
Wish I hadn't looked, about £200 cheaper, not a happy bunny.
Kind of pleased we are staying off site next October to save the constant looking at the new offers and thinking you should of waited Rachael.
Think of all the nice things you can buy with the money Helen xx
