Upgrading hoppers to AP

Will they still let you upgrade a three-day hopper to an AP during a trip?

We are going this weekend and our APs expired in December. We want to renew but since Saturday is a blocked day I thought we could buy the hoppers and then upgrade on Sunday.

If your APs are expired these are new APs, not a renewal. Are you going Fri-Sun or Sat-Mon? If you're getting deluxe you could just buy your AP on Saturday and they'll give you an exception pass. Or you could use 3 day hoppers, do MM on Saturday, then upgrade a little later on Saturday so you can start using discounts. If you go the upgrade route your AP expiration date will be the first day you used the hoppers, so there's no reason to wait until Sunday if you can get discounts on Saturday.

I guess they are technically new! We are going Friday to Monday. Friday we won't get there until 5 probably. Monday we will need to leave at 3. I think doing MM on Saturday is the way to go! Then we can upgrade when we head back for the afternoon break.
