I have a trip booked for CBR from 11/30 to 12/7. 4 day base tixs, free dining plan, cost $2712. I was thinking about upgrading to either AK pool view bunk bed room, or BWI standard room with a daybed, but the cost difference for either is around $1300 more! I'm having a hard time deciding if I want to spend the extra money. There are 4 of us, btw, myself, my wife, and 2 teenagers, age 13 and 16. Is that a lot to upgrade? Any thoughts?

We've stayed at CBR and loved it; however, we do love the deluxe resorts and AKL is beautiful (have only visited BWI) and if it were me, I wouldn't hesitate to upgrade to either resort.

With that said, if both AKL and BWI appeal to you, maybe check to see if a RO discount would be better (if you haven't already). A lot of times BWI is offered at 30%, which might be a better deal than FD depending on the nightly rate for your dates (although I do know from experience that FD can, and sometimes does, come out to be the better deal, even at a deluxe ;)).

Good luck deciding, but you really can't go wrong with any of the choices, IMO :).

I've stayed at CBR and enjoy the resort, but I'd definitely choose BWI over AKL if you decide to upgrade. The location of BWI is amazing for both EP and HS. Best of luck deciding and have a great trip!

Thanks for your input. I have checked the RO discounts, and for us, the FD saves us more money overall. This trip is for my son's 14th birthday. We have stayed at CBR before, and I was just kind of hoping to try a new place this time. we plan on spending more time at the resort this trip also. Just having a hard time justifying the price jump in my head. Not having teenagers arguing about sleeping in the same bed might be worth it though. lol

AKL hands down. I'm biased as I'll be there in 12 days. :cool1:

Hands down BWI... I just stayed there in April and it was AMAZING. We had a standard view which was on the top floor, with a balcony overlooking Epcot. We watched the fireworks at night from there. it was AMAZING
