About 2 months ago, I bought a 6-day hopper for my son (7) for our trip in Janaury. Since then, we have planned a trip for October, so i wanted to upgrade his pass to an AP. Here's the problem: I can not find the receipt or activation slip for his pass, so will they still let me upgrade? I called the DS and they said I could only upgrade at the parks, but didn't know whether I need the receipts or not. Can anyone help?

Nope, you won't need the receipt. :)

All of the pricing information is encoded on the ticket, so they'll know how much to credit you toward an Annual Pass.

Fear not, and have a great trip!

You won't be able to upgrade the ticket meaning applying the entire amount you paid for the ticket towards the AP. That can only be done within the first 7 days of use.

You will be able to have the dollar amount of the unused major park admissions used as an offsetting credit towards the purchase of the AP. This transaction can be handled at any Guest Relations location at the major parks or at either DTD location.

I was under the impression the admission was unused - I think these were purchased at the Disney store, and when that's done, they have to activate the pass by putting it through the register. It then spits out a receipt that your ticket is now valid for admission. Otherwise it's just a piece of plastic that is not valid for admission.

So I think the OP will get full credit for the pass.

But GOD knows I've been wrong before!!!! :)

I just have the voucher. The pass has not been activated, so I should get full credit.
