If I want to upgrade a 3-day ticket to a 4 day after using up the three days, do I still pay the kids price of 18.00? Can I upgrade if I've already entered the park on the third day? Not sure if we will have time for the fourth day so don't want to buy it ahead of time.

You will need to upgrade before the end of your last day of use, so on day 3 before the parks close you will need to add day 4. As for pricing I would imagine that you would only have to pay the difference but I'm not sure. You should be able to ask when you get there or call them to find out. :)

Disneyland isn't usually as cool about upgrading and keeping a discount as WDW is. Now with the "everyone pays kids price" deal, you can get it at the ticket booths, so your chances are much better for being able to just pay the difference between the two. But usually you don't "keep" a discount when adding days or upgrading to APs from a discounted bought-ahead-of-time ticket...something to keep in mind.

If you purchased your tickets form WDTC go to the kiosk in DTD. From what I understand they will be able to upgrape while keeping the prepurchase discount. The ticket booths can not.

WDW does not offer a prepurchase discounts of tickets. The price online is the price you pay at the booth. Since there is only one price option the upgrade is simple.

I'm interested to know as well. I have 6 day "everyone pays the kid price" and wanted one more. It's not CRUCIAL but wanted to try. Never hurts to ask! If anyone knows for sure...or has done this successfully let us know :)

Your case is more difficult in that they are supposedly not selling 7-8 day park tickets any longer.

Why don't you just purchase the 4-day ticket? The cost is $164 each versus $149 for the 3-day park hoppers - and then you know exactly what you are paying (and you get the everyone pays child's price discount)

I'm not sure if I will need that 4th day and would hate to waste almost 45 dollars for three tickets. At WDW you can upgrade any time within 14 days of first use of the ticket.

Gotcha! Well, you will be able to upgrade the ticket, it's just not clear if you will keep your discount or pay the difference.......

We upgraded our tickets on our last day and they just had us pay the difference! they seemed really lax about it!

You could always upgrade to the Deluxe Annual Passports, too. They're only $269. If you're planning a vacation next year, just take it a couple weeks earlier than this year and you'll already have your park tickets.

if I buy 4 day hoppers at the kids price, do I get kids pricing on AP's if I decide to upgrade? Or are kids and adults AP's the same price?

No kid's pricing for APs. A 3 year old is the same cost as a 99 year old. Big bargain for the parents, not as big for the kiddies, but we were still pleased as punch to get DS his AP on the trip when he was 3.:goodvibes

And you're always going to pay the full price for an AP (well, not 100% true b/c they had a special that ended in December, but almost always true at DLR). At WDW there are different upgrading restrictions than at DLR, and the one negative at DLR is that the tickets keep the value that you paid...so you'll be paying that difference between AP and the price you paid for your tickets...

On the other hand, the benefit at DLR is that if you buy a lower AP and later on decide you want to upgrade to a higher AP, you can do it. And you can't ever do that, beyond 14 days from first use, at WDW.
