We have 3 leftover parkhoppers from May 2004 each with 2 days left on them, 2 adult passes and 1 child pass. The adult passes were mine and my husband's and the child pass was my niece's. We're thinking about taking a weekend trip this October because of a sale on SW and bringing my niece along again. However, now she's 10 so I think we have to convert her ticket from the child pass to an adult pass. She's pretty small so we really wouldn't have to even bother I'm sure since she doesn't look 10, but rather than be in that situation we'd rather do it, plus it's free so there's no reason not to.

Does anyone know if the former 'child' has to be present when you convert their pass from a child to an adult ticket? It's not a huge deal either way, but I was thinking that since we'll only be in the parks Saturday and Sunday, I would go to one of the parks myself and conver thte pass Friday night while my husband took my daughter and niece to the pool. If she has to be there though then we'll just do it together, but of course it would be nice to avoid schlepping my 1yo around on the buses if I can avoid it!

The child who used the ticket originally needs to be there at the time of exchange.

If your niece is 10 years old, or is 11 years old and short for her age, she may well get away using the ticket as-is.

You could even hang on to the ticket and give it to your niece when she is in high school or in college or married and she can then exchange it by herself.

Thanks for the info. I'd rather not save the ticket till she's older for a few reasons-1st we'd then have to buy her a new 2 day ticket for this trip, which would not be in the budget since it's a spur of the moment trip and 2nd we'll be moving in May 2006 so no way do I want to risk losing it. I wouldn't be using ours this time but I'd rather not risk losing them, plus our APs expired in June and we don't want to activate our new APs till our Christmas trip so we can do a MVMCP next year on the same APs.
