I have an old film version of the Canon EOS Rebel with an EF 35-80 zoom lens. Should that lens work fine with the Digital Rebel XT or XTi? Thanks.

Be aware that the lens will effectively be a different range due to the digital Rebel's 1.6x crop factor. It will now be a 56-128mm. If this is your only lens, you might want to consider buying something that goes wider if you buy a digital Rebel. The kit lens is an 18-55mm.

I have had no problems using the lenses from my Rebel G on my Rebel XT. Granted I don't have many lenses, but I have had no problems. I put them side by side (same lens, same settings) when I first got the XT to see the differences. THe biggest differences I saw as far as what was actually in the frame were on the close shots. Also you really do have to get used to the way the lens behaves on the XT, it is different but it is not difficult.
