upgrading at check in.....can u ever?

I have booked RPR for the first of december and the whole hotel is showing sold out right now for our dates so I cannot upgrade to club level now that I found out about it.!!!
I am wondering if I should just continue to check every few days or if anyone has been able to upgrade at checkin?
Now that I have the details for the club level I would REALLY love to get that for our 4 nights!!
any tips?

The only thing you can really do is keep trying. Check daily to see if it's available to book and if it hasn't happened by the time you arrive to check in you can go ahead and ask if you can upgrade to a club level room and pay the difference. They might have a cancellation or something.

Or you could get it added to your room at checkin, if there is no rooms left on Club level

You're going the first week of Dec...I just went straight to the Loews hotels website, found the RPR, and there are rooms available (club is expensive even at seasonal rate, though) ... So check again!

I HAVE been checking the Loews site as well as the Universal site daily and nothing.....two days there were regular standard queen rooms but I haven't yet seen any club level open..... but I keep checkin. There are rooms at HRH but not RPR......we really want RPR.

Is it the club level 2 queen room you need? If so, then I can see where the availability isn't there for the entire stay*. But I saw the Royal Club King room (which can accommodate up to 3, as I know b/c that's our party size and the type of room we're staying in from Dec 10-13) for the 1st all the way through the 9th when I just checked and looked at the seasonal rate.

But it might just be the *type* of room that's the issue, but I didn't think that at first, b/c you were saying it was all booked up which I took literally, and I wasn't seeing that at all. Probably just a misunderstanding b/c you knew things about your needs that I didn't.


*avail only dec 1 and 7th it seems, checking from the 1st through checking out on the 8th with the seasonal price
