upgrading a WDW ticket to more days

I know you can add park hopper/and more at the park once you have your ticket, but if I have a 4 day base ticket, can I upgrade to a 5 day base ticket?

Yes, you can add days at Guest Relations until you have used everything on the ticket or it has expired.

I hadn't totally decided yet. I was thinking probably through Undercover Tourist unless Disney comes out with a stay, play & dine package. I'm a ways out still, but I'm thinking about our budget and options.
