Upgrading a water park and more ticket to a regular annual pass?

I hope I am asking this question in the correct place. I am trying to plan our next trip to the world and I am trying to get the best bang for our buck. We want to go at the end of Aug this year and then again next Aug. My plan is to buy a water park and more ticket of each of us and then upgrade the ticket to a regular annual pass before our last day. This way we could extend our year by about a week and use the water parks on the first visit. What I don’t know is when they apply the value of the water park and more ticket will they give me the full paid value towards the annual pass or will they knock $60 for the use of the water parks?

If you use one of the fun visits (including water parks) on a WPF&M ticket, it can only be upgraded to a Premium Annual Pass. But you will get full credit towards that pass. Also, I believe when you upgrade a ticket to an annual pass, the start date is the first day the original ticket was used. So you wouldn't get any extra days with this strategy.

The previous poster is exactly correct. If you've used a water park visit on a WPF&M ticket, you can't upgrade to a regular AP, you have to get the Premium AP. And when you upgrade, the date of the AP is the first day that you used your original ticket.

If you can plan so that you can use your ticket, say Aug 25-30 this year, then 20-25 next year, that will work. Then you could use the AP discount to get one-day tickets to the water park if that's all you want to go.

I had a ticket with the water park add on and was able to upgrade to a regular AP before I used the water park options but as other have said, once you use it you must upgrade to premium. Your pass expires the day you first used the original ticket.
