Upgrading a regular AP to a PAP

We renewed our DVC annual passes in January. But now we realize we have a few trips to the waterparks on our upcoming trips, so the premium annual passes will actually save us a bit of money. To upgrade, do we pay the difference in cost between the DVC regular AP renewal and the DVC PAP renewal?

Help from any of the ticket experts (@Robo? @Cheshire Figment? Anyone?) would be much appreciated.

Thank you!

You would pay the difference between what you paid for the pass you currently hold and the current price of the pass you want. They don't prorate the cost based on how many months are remaining. Your expiration date will be unchanged.

Thanks Michael, I know they don't prorate. But will I pay the difference between the DVC AP renewal (which I paid for) and the PAP renewal price or the PAP full price?

It should be the difference between the two renewal prices since the pass you are upgrading was purchased at the renewal price.

Is there a DVC PAP?
If so, that's the difference cost which you'd pay.

BTW, as an option, you could purchase a stand-alone Water Park AP.

just FYI a stand alone Water park AP (as Robo mentioned) is around $100 and would expire from whenever you purchase it -might be worth the extra $$ as you'll get more time out of it

Agree on the water park AP! When are you planning your first visit to the water parks? If it's sometime this summer, it'll give you about a whole half a year extra to go to the water parks. You'd be able to go during the summer 2016 months as well.

Yes yes. If it is only the waterparks you are interested in, that might be better. Do the math and look at your plans.

Thanks for the heads up on the waterpark AP, I'll do the math and see what works best!
