Upgrading a PHP to an AP question...

Hi! My husband and I are planning on buying APs for our stay this coming spring. What is the best plan for this...
should we buy the cheapest PHP 7 days we can find then upgrade them at WDW to an AP, or should we just buy the vouchers for the AP.
Does Disney see the price you paid for your PHP or do they apply their rate when upgrading?

Disney will be able to see where you got the ticket from and only give you credit for what you paid.
