We are staying at the Poly next month, and Pop in November - both with 5 day PH. I spoke to a CM last night who told me that I can apply both of these trip's tickets to the purchase of an upgrade to APs (I already knew I could apply next month's, but wasn't sure about both trips). We would be getting two, one for myself, one for my husband. I also priced out the actual cost of a 5 day park hopper, and 2 APs. My question is - what happens if the amount of the tickets is greater than the amount of the APs? And has anyone had any experience on getting Memory Maker refunded after buying it in their package, but then upgrading to an AP?

The CM you talked to was flat-out wrong. You can not combine 2 tickets into 1 in any way, shape, or form.

I don't think she was trying to tell me it was okay to combine 2 tickets into one. She just told me I could use both packages to upgrade to AP - my assumption was the difference for mine would come out of one trip, and my husband's from the other.

Not sure about the ticket issue, but I'm pretty sure the Memory Maker is not included in the AP, so you wouldn't need to get a refund on that.

But you both have tickets for both packages. You don't upgrade a package to an AP, you upgrade the tickets from the package. Right now you have 4 tickets total. You cannot use those 4 tickets to get 2 APs.

You could upgrade the tickets for the first package to APs and then cancel the second package and book a room only reservation instead.

I used to upgrade a 10-day non-expiring park hopper to an annual pass. One time the price difference was $2, and the woman at Epcot Guest Services handed me the $2 - but I don't think she was supposed to. Since then - I haven't upgraded a ticket whose gate price is higher than that of the ticket I'm upgrading to, as you aren't supposed to get back the price difference.

APs include MM.
Many here wish that they didn't.
