upgrades?

hello i am writing this under my mom's name... (without her knowing). I was wondering if someone could help me. We live in florida and this time last year were hit by 3 hurricans. MMy mom had just told us that she has been saving to take my family, her parents, and my dad's parents. and my little sister and brother on a cruise with the money her and my dad have been saving for their dream trip. okay my question is we are going in sept 10 2005. she did get to get fl rates and everyday i call her she is on this site or and checking to see if our rooms were assigned yet. My question is she paid for 4 staterooms will all our rooms be group together we are a 9gty. I read on here that sometimes people are giving upgrades. My thing is if one of us in our 4 parties get a upgrade i would love for my parents to be the room giving the upgrade. Can i call and suggest it to Disney? Any ideas?? Thanks

I'm not sure how the upgrades actually work, but on our last cruise, we had 6 rooms linked together and they upgraded all 6 rooms and kept us together.

My thought is that if they are linked, they'll keep you together, though I might call them to see what they say.

If all 4 staterooms are going to be on your mother's credit card, there is another option (I think). When we have had multiple rooms, we have easily changed rooms with one another, and just have a duplicate cardkey made for the doors. Hence, you can just wait, and know that if your mother does not get the upgrade and someone else does, you can have her actually use the upgraded room.
