upgrades????

I have been reading a lot of threads on the resort group about upgrades & views. we are booked at the VWL starting 8/7. I did not request a view. are there certain views that are better? how do you request a certain view? does DVC give upgrades? we are in a two bedroom from the 7th to the 11th. I can't wait. we have never stayed at VWL. we are taking a neice and a nephew who have never been to WDW nor away from mom & dad. I really hope they don't get too home sick.

If you are staying on points, upgrades are few and far between. They are generally only given if a unit goes out of inventory for a repair and all other units that size are occupied. Other than that, there may be different views, but since the only resort to use a split-view point chart is BWV I don't know what you'd consider an "upgrade" at VWL. Does VWL even hav any grand villas? Is it the resort without any?

If you already have a 2BR, there will be nothing for an upgrade (upgrades are pretty rare for DVC members anyway). VWL and BCV do not have GV's so 2BR villas are the largest accommodations available at those resorts.

Basically, all VWL villas have a "woods" view. A few can see the quiet pool and a few can see the lake thru the trees, but all are classified as "woods".
