upgrades at Bonnet Creek

Has anyone received an upgrade on their booking at check in. I understand it's a timeshare, but i was wondering if you can get a 2 bedroom from a one bedroom if available. We always ask at hotels and usually get great upgrades (I'm talking free) if someone is nice and there is availability.

In general, I would assume not.

I Definitely would not count on a onsite upgrade. since VIP members can get upgrades starting at 60 days out (for the highest level), any "available" next larger units tend to get snapped up before actual check-in day.

It can happen but not very often. Especially at popular, high demand resorts like BC there aren't many last minute upgrades that slip through. If it did happen it would tend to be in the slow periods like May, September or late November/early December. Even then it would be a lucky break to get one.

We are going the last week in August. Disney, in the past has been pretty quiet that week. Is BC busy at that time. I was wondering about early check in etc...

Unlike a hotel, a timeshare is designed to be more or less full year-round; they vary the "cost" to the owners substantially to encourage people to book during slow times.

I know you want us to tell you that an upgrade is likely. But it's not.
