Upgraded at AKL?

Has anyone been upgraded at the AKL from a standard tor savahanna view in the past few weeks? I leave tuesday and was just wondering>>>>>

Yes, we were. We arrived on December 1 (stayed 4 nights). We had 2 standard rooms reserved with a request for non-smoking (my only request--I find it helps to be flexible). We got 2 rooms, connecting, savanna view, one room with a Q and bunk, the other room with 2 Q, second floor and a great view of the animals. We had a discounted price (CM for 60% off @ $79 a night). As in the past, I didn't ask for an upgrade, it just happened. I had suspected I MIGHT get upgraded from standard to pool, so I was surprised, especially since this was the taping weekend at MK and the resort was filled. We have almost always been upgraded when staying at a delux resort. The only time I was not upgraded in the past was at WL/woods view in the summer/July. And I've never been upgraded at the CR during my 2 stays there--had standard garden wing.
