Upgrade?

Hi all,

I just received word that I have been upgraded from catagory 7 room 7122 to catagory 5 room 7544. Stateroom 7122 has been "my" room for the last 3 cruises, and I love the aft location. Can anyone give me some input to my new midship location. It is directly across from the elevators, which I know is not a problem. Am I just being silly for not being excited about this? Any input would be helpful.

Thanks for the congratulations! We leave in 6 days, we sail on the February 14th western.

Anyone else have any comments on being in a mid ship location?

We were at mid-ship on deck 6 on the Jan 24, 2004 cruise and loved the location. In fact we rebooked for the same location. It seemed that we never had far to go for anything and definetly wanted the same location for our next cruise. Have fun!!

That is a great location! Unless I were set on the cat7 enclosed verandah, I wouldn't be disappointed. Try the open verandah to see how you like it...especially if you aren't paying the price for it!


BTW -- We've been in 7524 & 7568....7544 is the midway between those two staterooms. I really don't think you'll regret it.

We were miship and thoght it was an excellent location. The only reason we are not this time is because we wanted a sph room that happens to be forward. Enjoy your upgrade they dont come often.

moocow! Wow did you luck out. We had 7544 on our Nov. cruise & loved it! It's starboard, dead mid ship, a few doors down from the hallway opening from mid ship elevators. It's convenient to take stairs up/down, or walk to forward/aft elevators & of course midship elevator is right there. The laundry room is a short walk down the hall on the same side-near aft. You have a great view of Castaway Cay from it too! It was not noisy, or busy in the hall on our cruise. Your door opens to a wall, not a stateroom in front of you. Very quiet.

The funny thing is , we are going on the Eastern cruise in April for spring break. We decided to save a little money & try the Nav. verandah. We have always had a CAT 5 or 6 - midship on our previous 3 cruises. We are a bit concerned about the aft location. It sounds like everyone from these boards love it! We will be on the starboard side 76_ _, forget which one.. Will we like the navigators verandah & the aft location?

Thanks for the encouraging words. Yes, I am excited about the upgrade, they don't come often do they? I am especially happy that it is right there by the stairs and elevators. The full view veranda will be nice. Our very first cruise in 1999 we had a full view, but to save money, ever since we have had a navigators. So, for the last 3 sailings, that was our home.

You will love the navigators veranda! You are just steps away from the secret deck 7 area, and just steps the other way from the aft elevator and stairs. Two flights up, and there you are at the beverage station. Now, I'll just get more exersize (which I need) LOL

I just thought of another plus to this room. The right side of the verandah is complete metal, not just a divider. It really cuts the wind & makes it a bit more private. 7544 has been our favorite room so far! You also feel virtually no motion in this room, being mid ship.

Sounds like the Nav. Verandah room will be nice. Thanks for the info!
