Hey there,

I'm curious - have any Cdns received the upgrade from Value to SSR or OKW? We're booked in a preferred room ASMo Aug 26-Sept 2. I have called a few times, but no luck. One CM said maybe it was done by zip code, thus excluding Canadians. Any thoughts?

Nope, no upgrade here:sad2: ...I sure hope that some of us Canadians get to receive the upgrade, it would suck to be left out.

Either way, I'm just ahppy to be going

I read that upgrades were never given when asked for ... either let Disney know you have a special occasion and hope they feel like treating you or just hope for the luck of the draw. Don't expect it, and maybe you will be surprised.

Asking never hurts. What's the worst that could happen...they say no.

None here either. :guilty:

Booked 3 rooms st ASMu, Aug 26th-Sept.2nd. for a Grand Gathering of 8 people (ages 11-62)

I can't say that I wouldn't have loved the upgrade but, considering 5 of the party have never been to WDW before and the fact that we usually go for 10 nts, I doubt we'll be at our resort very often at all. Not much time for relaxing during this whirlwind tour!!! :headache: Basically sleep and shower kind of thing. Saratoga would have been nice for the proximity to DTD though!!! :thumbsup2

We're not Canadian but I wanted to respond because I live in WA and didn't receive the upgrade offer but was still able to take advantage of it because my DSIL in NC did. They moved both parties since it was clearly stated on both our reservations that we were traveling together.

I think more people from POP were moved than the other value resorts. Also, no one really knows what system Disney uses to determine who gets deals and who doesn't but for the most part it seems to be regional more than anything else (well I think so anyway!).

This is probably the third post I have seen asking if any Canadians received the upgrade. By the lack of response and no apparent "Yes", I believe that it was never offered to any Canadians. There must be some kind of method to their madness of "randomly" selecting people for upgrades.:headache:
