Upgrade to one bedroom suite at AKL

I know Tikiman did this on his last trip, so maybe he can help me out. I'm thinking of trying to suprise my family by upgrading up to a one bedroom suite. I've already e-mailed AKL concierge in trying to help me out, but my question is, How much will the upgrade cost? I don't want to do it until right before we get there, since DH will find out!! Any suggestions would be appreciated!! I realize by wanting to wait, that there might not be any availibility, but this is the only way I can suprise DH. He looks at those credit card statements like a HAWK!!!
