Upgrade to an annual pass from 2 day park hopper

Planning on doing free dinning with the 2 day park hoppers in Dec.Can I upgrade the 2 day hopper to an annual pass?
Will I receive the value of the ticket off the total annual pass price? Also thinking of not using these tickets at all and holding on to them until Dec 2018 to upgrade to a pass. would that be an option I could do?

1. You can upgrade to an Annual Pass after you arrive at Disney World before the end of the day you use the last entitlement on the ticket.

2. You will receive the full gate value of the 2 day hopper towards the AP price so calculate the difference between the price of the 2 day hopper and the AP to determine what you will have to pay...

3. Unless - most multiday tickets now have an expiration date which will be printed on the ticket so if you do not use the ticket before the expiration date you will still be able to use it to upgrade to an AP, but you will only get the gate price as of the day you purchased the ticket and not the gate price on the upgrading day if there has been an increase in ticket prices in the interim.
