upgrade timing

I can upgrade our dining plan several months after making the reservation, right? Even if the time for booking free dining is past I won't lose our free dining by upgrading from quick service to regular dining, right?

If you only want to upgrade the dining plan, you can do that anytime up to 72 hours (3 days) before arrival, but if you do it within 2 weeks you might be subject to a $15 fee, apparently they charge that if you make any change to a package within that time.

If you upgrade only the dining plan, and don't change resorts or add days, you can do this without losing the free dining discount at any time.

what happens to free dining if you upgrade your room after the deal is on sale. I was hoping to upgrade okw studio to a 1b

I would check! We are from the UK, but when I wanted to upgrade from QSDP to DDP I had to wait till free dining offer came back on (fortunately it did!)

It's different for the UK.

I personally don't know if you can change resorts after the offer expires. I know you cannot cancel and then rebook after the offer expires, so it may depend on if you can switch resorts without cancelling.

Even that would be different from upgrading rooms within the same resort, which wouldn't require a cancellation. What we get here is that sometimes the phone agents think that the callers want to upgrade the entire room and they say no, which makes me think it can't be done. But I've never tried, as I don't use the dining plan, so I don't use free dining.
