Upgrade tickets?

Is it possible to upgrade tickets to no expiration when we get to the parks? We are visiting WDW for 2 days in April. We can get slight discounts for hopper passes at work (Magic your way - expires in 14 days after first use).

On a "per day" basis, it much less expensive to buy 7 day hoppers ($50 per day) than 2 day passes ($100 per day!). The work sales office is telling me that we can add the "No expiration" option for any unused days once we get to the park. Since we visit WDW every few years, we want to buy 7 day hoppers, use them for 2 days, then add "no expiration" option for the remaining 5 days.

Is that possible? It sounds strange to me. We've tried writing Guest Services, but aren't getting an understandable response.

You can add the no expiration option. It must be done either prior to use or within the 14 day from first use window. The charge to do it will be based on the original length of the ticket (7 days in your case), not on the 5 days that may remain unused when you go to add it. This transaction can be done at any Disney resort Lobby Concierge desk or at Guest Relations at the theme parks or DTD.

PP is exactly right. BTW, it will cost you $69.23 (includes tax) per adult ticket to upgrade your 7 day expiring Park Hopper Passes to non-expiring PH passes.



As to whether it's really "worth it" to do this or not:

1) an expiring 2-day PH pass costs $165 for adults. An expiring 5-day PH pass costs $234. So, if you just bought regular tickets at the gate for these two trips, it would cost you $399.

2) A non-expiring, 7 day Park Hopper pass costs $301.

So, by going with your plan, you'll save $98 per ticket. Of course, if your company's discount price is a lot less than the gate price, you'll save even more.
