Upgrade package tickets to AP?

Is it possible to purchase a package (for example a MYW package with 8-day hoppers and dining) for your trip, and then upgrade the hoppers to AP's once you get there, if you think you might be able to make another return trip within the year? Do they just give you the value of what your hoppers would be worth towards the cost of the AP's? Or is this not something you can do?

Hi!

Last April I bought an 8 day MYW tkt and the second or maybe thrid day I stopped by EPCOT Guest Services to upgrade to an AP. The date on my AP was the day I upgraded, not the day I used the first day of the MYW tkt - hope that makes sense. I pd the difference in the cost of the 8 day and AP - which at that time was $168 (difference).
