This will be our very 1st trip to Disney Dec. 9th-15th 2007. We have 2 boys ages 6 & 11. We have a garden view room south wing at the Contemporary Resort already booked. My friend just went to Disney in April 2007 and had a complimentary upgrade to concierge MK view room. Now that I've seen pictures of the view from there room I'm wondering if we should just upgrade to the MK view in the tower. I probably wouldn't pay to do the concierge level though. I'm also wondering if I should just take a chance and see if we couldpossibly do that at the time of check in because maybe we would be lucky enough to get a complimentary upgrade to and if not pay for it then. I'm not even sure how much extra it would be. I contacted my travel agent but she hasn't gotten back to me yet. What do you think is having the MK view and being in the tower worth the extra cost to do now or take a gamble and wait til we get to the Contemporary and see what happens even if we end up paying then?????? I thank you in advance for any advice you can give me. We can't wait only 169 days and counting. THANK YOU!!!princess:

Good luck on getting a Magic Kingdom view even if you done it now. We booked in January for Dec16-22 and still had to change our original dates to get one. I am not real sure about this but I think they sell out pretty fast. I have just the opposite problem we have the view booked and I am afraid they are going to upgrade us to the concierge and we might loose the view. The view is more important to us than anything else.

Either way good luck :tinker: !

The Tower view is an additional $136 (pre-tax) from the cost of the Garden. I see from your dates that you'll be going during Value season, at a relatively quiet time.

You might get offered an upgrade, maybe even complimentary. Remember that this is offered based on availability. If you really want the view, and would be disappointed if you don't get it, it's best to pay for it so that you are sure.

You'll enjoy it either way. Have fun!

My advice is if you want to upgrade before you arrive I would make the changes now because the Magic Kingdom View is very popular and does sell out very fast. While others here have reported getting upgraded to a Magic Kingdom View room, it does not happen all the time and when it does it's 100% pure luck and a surprise.

We've only stayed on the CR once and lucked out on the MK view. This was 10+ years ago. We're taking ds6 for his 7th and surprising him. We can only swing 4 days and we're doing the MK view at the tower. DH almost had a stroke.
