DH and I are going on a trip by ourselves this October. I really don't want to buy tickets if I don't have to. I have two old children's park hoppers from 5 years ago with one day a piece. The kids now use adult tickets. If I combine them with the old adult ones that I have , I should not have to buy new tickets. My question is , can I upgrade the children's hoppers to adult with the kid's birth certificates if the kids are not there? I should have just done it in June...

I doubt it. We tried to upgrade my daughter's hopper when she was WITH us in July, and they would not do it. The CM told us just to go ahead and use the child ticket. I think that now that the turnstiles are all using the biometric scanners (even in the water parks) Guest Services is getting much more picky about allowing for these upgrades.

No,you would need the kids with you. They also wouldn't up grade if it was obvious that the kids weren't 9 when the tickets were purchased.I think this was to stop people selling there unused days on at the end of their vacation.

Nope, the kids need to be there, as the need to be only used by them. Adults cannot "upgrade" kids tickets - 1) you are not allowed to transfer tickets, and 2) they will only do the adult swap if the child in question was of the age that could have used them when purchased.
