Upgrade from QS to DP - free - anyone else

Is everyone getting this when they call to book? Is Disney really hurting to give that? Or was it just pixie dust?

I just called to check rates and availability of a value suite and a code was attached to my name (without me asking - CM just told me) for an upgrade from QS to DP for staying at a value during free dining. This is for Nov 20 - Nov 28, 2009. We are downgrading from WL bunkbed woods view to 2 rooms preferred (wanted a suite at the Values - none available) - need another TV and bathroom.

But with the savings, even with 2 preferred rooms, I was able to upgrade to the DxDP ($32 for adult, $10 for child per night) from the upgraded from QS to DDP (free) and still saved money over 1 room at WL with free dining.

Wow- we are staying the week prior and didn't get anything like that. I'm still not sure we are getting a great deal. I think I better get on the phone, lol.

There's a pin code floating around for the value upgrade from QSD to DDP. I received an email pin and a postcard pin (1st ever!). It covers the same time frame this fall as the GP free dining. Took them up on the offer and will be at WDW over xmas. It's REALLY nice the CM told you that you had a code without prompting.

I was approaching my 90 day mark; so, I had to make up our mind on whether to upgrade or not. So, I did it this week and paid the difference for the upgrade to DP plus from QS.

I'm still happy, but the pixie fairies were with you on this one. Enjoy!

We booked POP two days ago, for 11/14/09-11/21/09, and while on the phone with the CM I was told we had a pin attached to my name that upgraded the Quick Service Plan to the full Dining Plan and I never asked the CM if there was a pin attached to my name.

Guess we were Pixie Dusted also.

Disney emailed me the same PIN twice today. And when I looked at it, it is the same PIN that was sent to me a month ago.

These were the first and only pins I have ever received. This is how it 'might' have been triggered.

1) we were at wdw in June
2) upon our return I requested the planning dvd in June
3) I priced out a trip on the wdw website in July
4) we received the pin email mentioning Disney being thrilled that we were considering returning

We're going Dec. 13th - 18th and also received the same PIN yesterday. Saved $120!

It might have been triggered by some offers that i was playing around with on the website because the email referenced some dates that I was playing with - not the dates that I booked.

Wished we'd get this one. I'm going back and forth between upgrading and not.....we have 5 OOP TS meals on our upcoming 9 day trip, but still after paying for extra CS and extra snacks, plus buying our mugs and the cost to upgrade it comes out about even. It would make it easier if I could upgrade for free LOL
