Upgrade an expired already booked PIN

Ok... I am booked for 9/25-10/1 via a PIN code for POP. I have the funds to upgrade to WL. I called Disney and was told since the PIN code has since expired, that I could not change the reservation.

Has anyone tried to change a room only ressie on an expired PIN before?

I would call back and talk to another CM. You're not booking a new ressie...you're just modifying your existing one. CRO will have to contact Guest Services to see if there are any WL rooms available under the expired pin code.

My understanding is once the Pin offer is over, it's over.

Contact CRO and ask specifically to speak with Guest Services or ask the CM to contact Guest Services. Once the PIN is expired, regular CMs answering the phones cannot see remaining availability using the PIN and will tell you there is no availability, the PIN is expired, etc. However --- Guest Services can see availability even after the PIN has expired. If WL is available using the PIN (that is, all WL rooms allotted for booking with the PIN have not been reserved), they should be able to switch you. We've done this before and it has worked fine.
