(UPDT: 2/21) Losing The Glass Slippers to RUN like a Princess! Serial-PTRer report!

Congrats on your PR, and your division place!! And you look way better than I do post race. I'm all red in the face and sweaty, with crazy hair for a few hours after.

Do you know how late you can email times for? When I registered, it asked if I anticipated finishing in under 3 hours, and I answered no, but I just did a 10k the weekend before Halloween and got 1:20:39 (a 13 min/mile). NOT my best time (I was having some tummy issues. >> ), but I'll be doing another 10k on the 17th, which I expect to be way better. Do you think that'll be in time to submit?

I was totally sad to see the medals this year, lol! I'm dressing as Tiana, so it'll totally clash (I wanted the medal to match tooooo!) Also, I really liked how the old ones were oval shaped, I dunno how I feel about the heart shape. I'm sure I'll end up not taking it off all vacation after (hopefully) getting it, though!

Grumpy Cat is the best costume, love it!

I hadn't spend a lot of time looking at the old ones, so I had nothing to compare to really! The heart shape and blue color are perfect for me but I get why people were disappointed. I guess that it's good that they change it each year. I wonder if they will keep it heart shaped every year now but different colors?

LOL...I'm counting the days to MB customization as well! 2 days before Christmas I should be able to do it!

The medals have me so very jealous. It is weird cause at the start of my running I could have cared less about the medals... Now I feel differently. I will not be there for the phm 2014- but I will for 2015. It won't be long before I am booking my room for that. I don't even have anyone going with me yet but I KNOW I am going lol!

I was jealous of the Glass Slipper & 10K medals! I was kicking myself, thinking that I should have signed up b/c I know now that I could do them both...but I'm glad I'm waiting for 2015, and we will have to meet up! LOL...yep, planning meetups a year and a half in advance.

Looks like fun was had by all on Halloween. I MUST know...where did you get those lanterns? I would totally LOVE to do this sometime! Tangled is one of my ALL time favorite Disney movies!

Thanks! I have to get back over to your TR, I've been slacking b/c I've been so busy! I didn't get the lanterns, my friend did, but I think you can find them online pretty easily. They are paper and I think pretty cheap?

Ok, oh Great Advice Guru: I have an opportunity for Victoria and Kali and I know Peter is quite nervous about it, but I think it's awesome.....

Miley's Bangerz tour is in Orlando at the Amway Center on Monday, March 24th at 7pm. WE are in Orlando on March 24th at 7pm. Although I don't really care for Miley since her new album, they love her and really want to do this. So, my options would be to go with them, but I really don't want to. Another option is to let them go by taxi to and from the concert. That's the part Peter is not comfortable with. They will be 16 years old at that time and if they stick with a reputable taxi co (Yellow Cab Co or Mears) they should be fine, in my opinion. I know in the past you told me you used to travel in the city with cabs and everything was fine. I just think this is too good of an opportunity but I would love your thoughts.

Yep, I traveled a lot in cabs when I was young, younger than 16. Although I probably would let my kids do it as young as I did, I NEVER ran into a problem with a cabby, in fact, I had one drive me farther than I had money once b/c ahem...I had been drinking and was crying that I couldn't walk. In any case, I feel they are a safe form of transportation, the girls will be 16 and together. Go for it!

I was just talking about the Miley concert to Savannah yesterday. We probably won't go, not b/c we don't like her music, I really think she's talented, but b/c I think her...ahem...performances...ahem...would probably just ruin the music portion of it for us. We did see her in concert as Hannah Montana/Miley, so it's a pretty big jump for our brains to make! I bet Victoria and Kali will be over the moon about it!

BTW, is Tyler Oakley going to be in Orlando for the Youtube event? Just wondering, Savannah is a HUGE fangirl of his, she freaked out recently when he liked two of the things she posted/tagged him in. I'm guessing you understand this phenomenon.

It’s a one bedroom suite with 2 double beds in the bedroom and in the living room the couch pulls out into a bed. There’s plenty of space! The hotel is pricey ($176 per night). That would make it more affordable for everyone!!! It’s something to think about. Savannah and Victoria can discuss their curly hair woes!! I’m sure the girls would get along just fine --- it’s you and I that might have issues (just kidding --- we can partake in some margaritas at the pool bar while the girls are at the conference!!) One thing I don't like is that we are stuck with the hotel food as I don't drive in Orlando. I would be scared to death! So, we usually take taxis to places we want dinner.

Savannah is shy, but I think she would really like Vic, and maybe in the next year we can get them communicating online so they can get to know each other. So do you get the "parent pass" or do you just not go to any of the stuff yourself? Savannah is going to be SO EXCITED.

Oh AND we will probably have a car since it will save to drive rather than fly!
