Updt 07/26 Pictures, food and more 8 days at POP

I'm in. WE atayed at POP last year and are staying there again in August:yay:

Welcom jcc0621, we are planning another trip for late in the year, hopefully at Christmas time, really would love to see the decorations. We did MVMCP a couple of years ago, and it was fun, but I really want to see the resorts decorations and I loved the Osborne family light display.

I'm sure you will have a great trip in August. :thumbsup2

I really have fun writing this, and am so happy you have joined us. :cool2:

I will try to post the rest of day one tommorow, with pics of SWW and Prime Time 50's.

Stay tuned. popcorn::

So off we go to HS for SW adventure.

When we got there I could see my DS finaly getting excited. We walk in and the first thing he wants to do of course is go on Star Tours. We walk over and there are people everywhere dressed in Star Wars atire. It was kind of funny to see these people in long cloaks etc, when it's 90 degrees outside.

While in line for this attraction, there are storm troopers guarding the entrance. My DS trying not to be happy to have his picture taken.

100_1224.jpg

I will also tell you we did not wait more then 20 minutes in line for any attraction while we are at WDW.

I go thru the entire que with my DS and DH, only to take the chicken exit, I do not do most simulators very well, except Mission Space, Odd I know.

Next Stop Darth Vader. We did wait on this line for about a half of an hour, because of the heat, they had to let ol Darth go in to get cool a couple of times. Here is my DS trying to look cool with the evil Darth.

100_1233.jpg

The new Toy Story mania was our next stop, but all fast passes were given out for the day, and the line was about an hour long. Nope, not even for this new attraction are we going to wait in the Florida heat for this one.

So, next stop my DS favorite ride in HS, the Great movie ride. We walk over and there is no wait. In we go, and it was fun as usual. My DS and DH did not want to wait for the parade, so we walked over to The Tower of Terror and RNRC but again the lines were long and no more fast passes given out.

The Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular was about to begin and so my DS wanted to see this. It was pretty good, and my DS really enjoyed it.

We had dinner reservations at Prime Time and it was getting late so we walked over to see if they could seat us early. My review and Pictures to follow.

50's Prime Time Cafe, review and pictures:

This is one of our favorites, because we really like the way they play. However this time our waiter was not that into it. I was dissapointed because my DS really enjoys when his parents get in trouble, oh well not off to a great start. :(

My DH had the Char broiled pork tenderloin with root vegetable hash. He said it was yummmmmmyyyyy
100_1247-1.jpg

My DS had the Golden fried chicken, with mashed potatoes. He seemed to enjoy this as well.
100_1246-1.jpg

I had the top sirloin also with the root vegetable hash. It was cooked just the way I like it, it was very good.
100_1248-2.jpg

For desert my DH and I had the Brownie sundaes with carmel corn, ooh, what an unexpected tasty treat ( says my DH )
100_1249-2.jpg

My DS had the samores. Believe it or not, he said they were awesome.
100_1250-2.jpg

With our tummies full, it was time to go back to POP. My DH was really tired.

My DS and I walked around the resort to get some pictures at night. Didnt come out that well, but here are a few.

We called it a night, because tommorow was our first full day and we were going to Epcot, and Coral Reef for our 15th anniversary dinner. :yay:

DisneyFanO6,

Seems like we are kind of neighbors, we live in Ormond Beach. I think you will really enjoy POP, every one was incredibly nice, and the resort is so much fun. The dining plan really worked well for us, you certainly get a lot of food.
I will be posting my reviews and pictures soon.

Yeah! Stephanie, my future DW lives in Ormond Beach! :) Wow. :faint:

We are planning on eating at Prime Time and that dessert looks YUMMY!!!!

Sunday morning we get up early and decide to eat at Everything POP.

My DS just had a bagel, bannana and cereal, sorry no picture of this.

DH and I both had the adult breakfast special.

100_1265-2.jpg

The food was good but be sure to ask for it to go, so by the time you get your coffee, butter, etc, it is still hot. :(

After breakfast it was time to drive over to Epcot. :yay:

Enjoying the report so far! Our trip in November is also for our anniversary, it'll be our 6th! :) Did you get any special attention because of your anniversary pins?

Actually we did, I will explain more in the following days. We didnt know about the anniversary pins before we got them, but we did wear them, and every cm we came accross wished us a happy anniversary. Most restaurants did something special because of them also.

Have a great trip, we are planning our next for later this year, cant wait to go back to POP.:thumbsup2

Were off to Epcot. We didn't make the rope drop ( try as hard as we might, me didn't make any rope drops.)

As soon as we get there, my DS runs to Spaceship Earth, has always been one of his favorite rides. This was our first time with the new ending, kind of cute, but not sure if it's better then the old one.

100_1661.jpg

100_1264-1.jpg

Of course we did Soarin, my personal favorite. :thumbsup2
Spent some time in the land, another of my DS's favorite rides.

100_1268.jpg

Next off to see Nemo, we had never done this before, it was cute. Better then those "hydrolaters" they used to have. :rotfl2:

100_1290.jpg

Of course we had to do Ellen's Energy dinasaur ride, always enjoy this, and Journey into Imagination, because I love figment. :)

We decided to have lunch in World showcase, so we went to The American Pavillion The Liberty Inn, because my DS decided thats where he wanted to eat. :hyper: We let him pick a lot of the cs meals, since we had planned all the TS.

DH and I had bacon cheesburgers and fries, which were pretty good, The burgers were huge.

100_1281-1.jpg

DS had the chicken Strips and fries, he said they were also good.

100_1280-1.jpg

For desert DS and DH had the no sugar added Brownies ( sorry no pix ) and I had the Apple Cobbler. They both said you couldn't tell they were sugarless. yummmy

100_1282-2.jpg

For a Counter Service meal, this was pretty good fare.

After lunch we listened to the Voices of Liberty, they were awesome !

100_1283.jpg

We walked around the world showcase,

100_1279.jpg

And over to England, it was almost time for the British Invasion, which we just love.

100_1285.jpg

My DS is in love with Japan, anything Japanese makes him smile, I think because he enjoys Japanese Anime. We spent some time there, and he shopped and shopped.

Next up, our 15th anniversary dinner at Coral Reef ;)

congrats on your anniversary! can't wait to read more. i loooveee food pictures yummyyyy.

We were at DHS and Epcot at the same times. I stopped in to American Pavillion for a cup of ice water, boy was it hot, and met some very nice CM's. I was wearing my birthday button and they gave me a apple cobbler dessert for free!:cool1: I didn't even make a purchase, wow, isn't Disney great. We had just finished a huge lunch at LeCellier, but hey dessert should never be passed up.:rotfl2: Our second day was our last park day, so I will be reading your report to see what other fun adventures you had.

We get to Coral Reef about 15 minutes before our reservation.

100_1301.jpg

I was very nervous because I had requested the special menu, and even though I had received an email that all was done, I wasnt sure it would be .:worried:
My DH had no idea and I really wanted our anniversary dinner to be special.

Well that sat us about 4 minutes later, great table right in front of the fishtank. I could not get a diver because our reservation was for 8pm, and the divers stop at 7.

This was the inside of the customized menu.

CORALREEF-1.jpg

I was so excited, my DH kept asking me how I did this. It was perfect.

Because it was our anniversary they gave us complimentary champagne, my favorite.

We started out with theCreamy Lobster Soup .

100_1291-1.jpg

I thought this was very good, very creamy, with chunks of lobster. It was perfect.

For dinner, my DH and I had Grilled NY Strip Steak - served with potatoes au gratin, and broccolini

100_1294.jpg

It was cooked perfectly, very tender. One of our best meals at the world.

My DS had Grilled Chicken Breast - with mashed potatoes and chicken broth

100_1293.jpg

He was very happy with his meal as well. Loved the chicken and potatoes.

For desert my DH and I had The Chocolate Wave* - with brandied cherries

100_1300-1.jpg

My DS had the Seasonal Fruit in a Martini Glass with sorbet.

100_1298.jpg

He lovvveeed this.

By the time dinner was over Epcot was closed so we went back to our room at POP.

When we opened this door this was waiting for us.

100_1317.jpg

I was so susrprised. The card attached was adorable. It was a wonderful ending to a great day.
