Updated: Ticket Prices increasing Tomorrow (CONFIRMED)

So glad I decided to renew my deluxe AP online with the discount last week. I almost decided to just wait and do it at the park next week when we go.

Whewww, I know a 40 dollar increase annually doesn't seem like a lot (not considering the renewal discount), but annually comes pretty quick. A few more years of that and they'll price me out!

How much of a discount did you get? We're not eligible to renew for a couple of months since our pass is good until 5/31/15 and I'm just trying to figure out what I can expect to pay for four deluxe APs.

And is it correct that there's no tax??

Thanks!

No tax. The pass was $479 with the discount, so 40 bucks savings that would have been cancelled out if I waited.

Question: If I purchase a ticket now , prior to increase, use it later in the year and THEN decide to upgrade to an annual pass, will they bridge the difference between the 5day hoppers price now to its increased price? I KNOW I'm going to pay for the newly increased AP rate but wasn't sure if I'd benefit from the 5day hopper initial savings. Also if I buy a discounted( from Ares, getaway etc) ticket and use it to lock in the price, do I get current gate value for the ticket? Sorry, I'm pretty good at this in WDW but I know their are differences in ticketing procedures/upgrades at DL. Trying to figure out if it's worth grabbing some tickets now....also not sure yet IF we will upgrade to AP's. We are coming from Massachusetts and I can not yet say for sure that we will get in enough days to make AP worth it( although we have in the past).

Great! Thank you! With the price up to $549, so hopefully my price will be $509 if they still keep a $40 renewal discount and don't change it along with the prices.

You won't get any bridge in value. What you pay now is what you will get applied towards and upgrade if you decide to do so later.

Why such a hefty increase on the premium pass? Is it because they did away with the block-out tickets so more people are buying them? Interesting, too, that it's going up that much and they're doing away with the parking pass that comes with it unless you already have it before you renew. Holy cow, that's a lot of money.

Discount on a deluxe renewal was $40 today, not sure on the premium discount . . . . There were questions above so FYI.

We have annual passes that expire May 10th. Is there any way to renew them now to add on a year at the current prices? We are also buying into DVC but it will be a couple of months until it closes and we have our #. Does Disneyland offer DVC discounts on tickets/AP's? Thanks for any advice.

No to the renewal part of your question. You can only renew if your AP is expiring within 40 days.

I have no idea on the DVC part of your question, sorry.

Thank you for the help with the AP question! :earsgirl:

Right now it says $20 off the AP for dvc members. Yesterday the lower level AP was $500, right now it's showing $529, so it's obviously ahead of the dl website, which is showing 519. I was just planning for all of this, so I'm pretty disappointed in the increase! I have a family of 6, so it add up quickly. Plus, we don't really need an AP, just more than 5 days.

Just got my Park Hopper tickets from cheaptickets via ebates minutes ago with the old price. Supposed to get another $10 bonus cash on top of the 6.88% :)

Not a bad deal I guess... :)

Can't wait for my trip!!!!

My wife and I renewed last night. We were fonna wait and renew at the AP party tomorrow night, but saving $80 per pass was incentive to drive over and renew two days earlier. We didnt even go into one of the parks. Just rode the bus over from the Toy Story lot and went to the ticket booth. We were pleased to get $60 off the renewal rate. After reading on here that the incentive to renew was only $10 this year, that was nice. So it was $639 per pass for each of us.

Still at old price on cheaptickets for anyone else who missed this post yesterday like I did. Thank goodness I did catch it though.
