UPDATED Thanksgiving 2004 Roll Call by name and resort

The HBC family of six along with extended family of four more will be occupying first a GV then a 2BR and two studios at the BWV from November 19 through November 29. This is the first time we will be in a Grand Villa and a Boardwalk view room and are really looking forward to that. We stayed for that one extra day on the end to catch the MVMCP on Sunday the 28th.

We'll join you!! We'll be at VWL from 11/25-12/1. I just love WDW during the holidays and am really looking forward to sharing it with dh. It will be his first time at this time of year!!! We get to make those PSs right after we get back from our first trip home to BWV!!!

This will be our 4th TG trip! We love it... the cooler weather, decorations. We'll be in a 2BR at VWL.

Still undecided about TG dinner, though. Do we order dinner in, from a local grocery store, or do we reserve a table at Whispering Canyon... for sure I'm going to book the ressie, as backup.

We will be in a 2 BR at SSR Nov. 24 to 28 with the grandparents. This is our 2nd Thanksgiving at WDW with them, and we are really looking forward to checking out the new resort. I hope to make PSs for Hollywood & Vine Fantasmic for turkey day dinner. DH and I will take advantage of having grandparents there and will have one night to ourselves at DTD, dinner at Wolfgang Puck's and Pleasure Island. Can't wait!

We're there 11/20 - 11/27 in a 2bdrm at OKW. Sister and her crew will be at Marriott's Grande Vista. First time we've all been in Orlando together.

Still not sure what we're doing to do for Thks dinner but the Bears are playing Dallas at 4:30 so I'm sure that will factor in somewhere.

I am spending my first Thanksgiving at VWL!! I actually drive down that day. I am waitlisted for the rest of my visit with friends--we need a 2 bedroom--so I may have to check out of VWL to try out the new SSR over the weekend but then I'll will have stayed at all on property DVC resorts.

Where is a good place to eat for Thanksgiving? I am not sure if I want to bring something or just go out and eat. How crowded are the parks during that time?

We will be at Vero beach in an ocean view inn Nov 20-24 then off to SSR in a grand villa from nov 28- dec 4. We are driving to atlanta for actual thanksgiving and driving back down to disney!!!

We are! We are doing a family get together from November 19-28. We have 15 of us and are staying at OKW in a GV and two studios!

We'll be there from 11/26 - 12/8. This will be our second trip during the holidays and we just can't wait. We've got three little ones ages 6, 4 and 1. This will be the second trip for the 1 year old so he's a Disney vet, but last time he was only 3 months old so we can't wait to see his reactions now that he actually understands things! We switched from VWL to BCV to see them for the first time so we are excited about that, although the process to get there was very tedious. Luckily I'm still young and full of energy! Plus the mother-in-law will be down with a friend for about 5 days in the middle of our trip, so the kids will get to spend some time with Grandma. All in all should be a great time! See you all there!

we will be in an OKW 2 bdrm from November 20-27th. Last year we ate TG dinner at Whispering Canyon and it was a HUGE waste of money because not one of our 3 children ate one bite. Not even when the server brought them chicken tenders and mac and cheese. This year, I am cooking in the Villa.

We will be at SSR. We were too late to get into out home resort of BCV. Thanks for reminding me that I need to make Thanksgiving dinner reservations. Last year, we waited till the last minute and had to pay an arm and leg.

Well, we will be staying Thanksgiving week but not staying for Thanksgiving for a couple of reasons. My husband says its too crowded for Thanksgiving weekend and we just closed on our first resale 2 weeks ago and I was lucky enough to get my studio at VWL for the timeframe we had planned to go which is arriving Friday before Thanksgiving and leaving Wed. the day before turkey day. I wasn't even going to attempt to get a room for Thanksgiving Day. I am happy going when we are for now.

My husband and I have spent Thanksgiving at WL a few years back and we loved it but we missed not being with the family for the holiday. Now with DVC maybe we can plan a family vacation for next year. I am dying to go to MVMCP and it just makes sense to stay Thanksgiving weekend and attend the first party! How can I convince my husband to stay next Thanksgiving?? Which parks would be best to attend say, Fri. and Sat. of the holiday weekend?? Maybe if I start convincing him now................

The best way to convince him is that the week right after that is the quietest week in the parks. So while that weekend can be a little busy, getting past it gets you to the Disney nirvana of holiday decorations and activities with virtually empty parks. We've been there on Thanksgiving and the two weeks after and it's the best time of year, so much so that we are going back for that time this year! Good luck on convincing him!

DW and I will be at VWL Nov 26 to Dec 2.
This will be the 3rd year in a row for a VWL trip right after Thanksgiving. It has become our favorite time to go.

well I think I will be at BWV studio and my brother's family will be at Sheraton's vistana

but there is a chance that none of this will happen.

my sil refuses to have her dog at a kennel. Also refuses to leave it with anyone.....So they lately have been only going to places that take pets.

Since I am not paying for them to stay at one of Universal's hotels - then that leaves Best Western, La Quinita - that type of place. Well now my brother has though about houses.....

well anyway - I may be staying at BWV or Sheraton's Vistana don't know right now.

We will be there from 11/21-11/26 and we are staying at OKW. This is our first time at OKW and we can't wait. We went at Thanksgiving two years ago and stayed at POR. We love going that time of year. Since we wasted $$$$$ on an awful meal at Jiko's at AKL on our last Thanksgiving we will probably grab a meal at POR foodcourt. Last time they had turkey, pumpkin pie, etc. available. It would have been a lot better and a lot less money!! Our friends our joining us this time at OKW as well as sister. Can't wait!!!!

We're there - VWL, 1 BR, just DW, DD, and I, all of Thanksgiving week. Waitlist came through - yay! DW's aunt, uncle, and cousin are coming over for Thanksgiving lunch (prepared by Chef Dreamfinder), but we're not sure what we'll do for dinner yet.

DD wants to hit the Mall at Millenia and Florida Mall (silly girl, but, at 17, I guess that's good); we'll do La Nouba for the first time, AND ... we're not doing any parks. Heresy!

Well ... any Disney parks. We're gonna slip off to Universal and check out the Mummy. Shhh!

We will be at SSR Nov. 21-26 (2BR and Studio), then at HGVC SeaWorld from 26-29th (3 BR). It will be my DW and 4 DD (7,5,2,1) and BIL/SIL and their 2 DD (10,7).

Hope to order Turkey dinner from Publix. Do we to have schedule that early or just when we get there?


I hope SSR's main pool won't be overly crowded due to OKW's pool closure.
