Ok, after reading all the PTRs I decided to write one for our trip. Here it goes:

DH and I are taking DS10 and DD7 for their first trip to WDW April 18-25. I am so excited!:cheer2:

I have been twice before but that was in the late eighties. We stayed off-site both times and were only there for 1-2 days. 1st time was in 1986 and we did Epcot. 2nd time was in 1989 when MGM first opened and Roger Rabbit was big! I know we did MK either on the 1st or 2nd trip but somehow I don't have any memories of MK - very weird as I was in my late teens....Anyway all this to say that it's been so long that this feels like my first trip too!

DH insisted on staying in MOD resort. So when I started doing some research I thought it would be nice for my sonpirate: if we could stay in a pirate-themed room at CBR since we will be doing princess things (CRT breakfast being one of them) for my daughterprincess: . However, CBR was all booked up the last 2 days of our stay and I did not want to switch resort in the middle of stay so we went for CSR. I've shown pictures of the resort and the main pool to the kids and they are very excited!

We also decided to slurge and go with the DxDP. So here's our itinerary with our ADRs:

Apr 18 - we land @ 2:34pm and were planning on going to MK to see Spectromagic and Wishes and try Space mountain (it closes for refurbishing the next day) but don't know yet where to go for dinner - any suggestions?:confused3
Apr 19 - MK
CRT@ 9:15
Chef Mickey @ 5:40
Apr 20 - AK
Donald's Safari Breakfast @ 10am
Yak n Yeti @ 3pm (hopefully we can get a table by a window and watch the parade)
Apr 21 - MK
1900 Park Fare @ 9am
Crystal Palace @ 1:20pm
Spirit of Aloha @ 8pm
Apr 22 - DS
Playhouse Disney's Play'n Dine @9am
Sci-Fi @ 1:30pm
Prime 50 Diner @ 6:30pm
Apr 23 - Downtown Disney and AK (Late EMH)
Cape May Café @ 10am
Boma @ 7:30pm
Apr 24 - Epcot
Princess Story Book (Arkeshus) @9:15
Garden Grill @ 6pm
Apr 25 - Epcot
Flight leaves at 3:30pm so planning to go to Epcot in the morning. Haven't decide what to do for breakfast/lunch yet. Suggestions?:confused3

Love to hear your comments/suggestions about our plans and ADRs!:wave2:

No replies yet! :sad1: I'll keep adding to my PTR in the hope that someone does!

We received the WDW Planning DVD this week and watched it with the kids. They are so excited! While we were watching I pointed out that we would not be trying the water parks this time around. You should have seen my daughter face when I told her that - total disapointment:sad1: I did explained to her that we can't do it all and that it just means that we'll have to go back - the smile was back on!:hyper:

We're still 2.5 months away from our trip but I've decided to do a countdown calendar. I'll be doing some research to get ideas. If you have any, let me know. I'm not sure if I want to make a calendar for each of the kids or one to share.

I'll keep you posted!

hello! i'm on board. happy planning...can't wait to read more! :flower:

I'm here...we'll be at WDW at the same time! We are at POR from April 19-28! A link to my PTR is in my signature...if you want to read along! ;) Can't wait to hear more about your trip!

I haven't added anything to my post in a few days. Funny how life just takes over sometimes! :upsidedow

Anyway, yesterday I discovered Disney 3D! I was trying to show my kids WDW on Google Map when my husband reminder me that we have Google Earth. Well wouldn't you know that Disney has a 3D layer you can add. It is so cool, it's like you're there! If you zoom in far enough and change your angle of view, you really get the illusion of walking through the parks at ground level.

The best is that you can get Google Earth for free. Try it, it is amazing! pixiedust:

You can have a look at some screen shots obtained using Google Earth and Disney 3D at this site:

The other cool thing about it is that some of the attractions, resort, etc have mickey ears to identify them and when you click on the ears, a window pops up and shows you a clip of the attraction or resort.

DS10, DD6 and I spent almost 1 hours last night looking at Disney in 3D!:mickeyjum

Decided to read up on Photopass as I wasn't sure how it worked. There was all this info about how it was cheaper if you pre-ordered the CD. But I still wasn't sure it was worth it to me to pay $100 for a CD of pictures. That's when I found out about Photopass share. Basically a group of approx. 6 people go in and share the $100 costs for the CD. Of course, someone has to be willing to organize it and you have to find a share group that is not full - easier said than done. But I'm happy to report that I finally found a Photopass group for my dates. I'm very excited - only $26 (that would be $33 Canadian dollars for me) and I get a CD full of pictures. Now that seems more reasonable! :thumbsup2
