UPDATED: My Spring Break Disney Adventure in Pictures! And Lots of em....

Great pics of AK animals! AK could easily be a fave park for me but it's always been SO CROWDED when we go, it's hard to see/experience everything.

Also, not to hijack the thread, but WHY is a Fastpass line an hour long???? We saw those last week for SplMt at MK and at EE at AK and it turned out it was people waiting in line for their FP time to come. UGH!!!! Luckily our time had already passed for both rides and the CM let us go through ahead of everyone. Those lines caused major congestion in both places. UGH!!!!!

I know....it was pretty bad at AK that day. I think the EE situation was that the ride was broken down that morning, but of course that was what everyone wanted to ride so they were standing in line for it and/or trying to get a fastpass. I was unwilling to wait in a fastpass line that long, and told myself that I may not get to ride it, but I wasn't going to waste my whole day there! Thanks for reading.

I forgot to include the hidden mickeys I found in the murals right after the tiger exhibit. Check these out.

I decided I wanted to meet someone, it really didn't matter who. I've met them all before. I always think the characters are so cute in the AK garb.

Some sights:

Goofy had the shortest line, so I hopped in. Called my husband to check in while waiting and before long I was hugging Goofy!

Now Goofy was quite upset to find that I was married. But he finally agreed to take a picture with me. I wanted to see the FOTLK but a show was already in progess. I had not desire to ride Dinosaur or Triceratop Spin so I slowly made my way out of the park. I got some pics taken on the way out.

I asked the photopass lady in the Oasis if the characters would be out soon. Her reply was "Sure, in about 5 minutes". So I decided to wait thinking I would be the first one. Well 25 minutes later they still weren't there and I got tired of waiting.

I decided to go to Disney MGM for a little while before I was due to meet Heather and Becky for dinner.

I love MGM! I know it is most people's least favorite park, but there is something about it that I just love. I spent a lot of time here on my days off on the College Program. We would just go back and forth between RnRC and TT. It was great!

So where do you think I headed first?
86553mgm3.jpg

The line was a 20 minutes standby. RnRC was 40 with no fastpasses. I decided to wait for TT, and I got this great shot waiting in the queue area.

Also, this needs to go on the bad shoes webpage. How did could she still walk after eight hours straight in those things? And don't even get me started on the socks with sandals thing.

86553mgm5.jpg

The ride was great as usual. I hadn't seen the Lights, Motors, Action! show, so I wanted to catch that while was there. It seemed like such a long walk from TT, they are on opposite ends of the park.

Passed this on the way to the show. I stopped for a minute to listen, but I didn't catch the whole show. It looked really cute though!

Lights, Motors, Action! was kinda boring to me. I am not into cars, etc. but I thought I would give it a shot. Plus, it was the only new thing I hadn't done. However, I probably will never make an effort to see it again. Once was enough. A few pics and a short video.

It is amazing to me how big that stadium is. It seems like there was a million people in there! I walked over to Muppets but didn't have enought time to go in, so I snapped a pic of my favorite fountain in WDW.

I walked to the Chinese Theatre next, not to go on the Great Movie Ride (although I do that later in the trip), but to find some hidden mickeys!

The book I had said this is one, but I don't think this qualifies do you?

Bay Lake was drained for some reason. It was kind of weird.

I started making my way out of the park and had some more pics taken. By the way I had a photopass card as well, but all of these were taken with my camera. I had to have proof that I was actually there!

After that I left and met Becky and Heather for dinner at Becky's apartment. Didn't stay for Fantasmic although I would have liked to. I've still never seen it. I've tried twice and both times it rained and they cancelled the show. I am going back in November and I have to see it!

Tomorrow I go to, dum da dum dum.....Universal Studios. I know, I know (boo, hiss, boo) but I went with Becky and her fiance who are annual pass holders. I wanted to spend some time with them. I am in Disney the rest of the week, I promise! Keep on reading! popcorn::

I am looking forward to seeing the Finding Nemo musical. It looks like it is really good. I love the Muppet fountain at MGM!

My favorite kind of TR- full of pictures! :thumbsup2

Can't wait to see and read more! popcorn::

So how did you get by going alone and leaving your husband at home???

Ahhh...that is the beauty of this trip. I love my husband but he brings me down at Disney because he is not a Disney lover like myself. And anyway he had to work. I did kinda feel bad leaving him home with the kids (our two dogs) but I got over that quickly. I deserved a vacation! We do a lot of things seperately in our marriage. Some people think it is weird, but it works for us. Of course we do things together too!

It is definitely a must see. I see you are leaving in two months. It will probably be crowded so make sure that you line up for the show at least 30 minutes ahead of time. I think a lot of people that were way behind us in line didn't make it in. The theatre is big but....I wouldn't want to chance it. You will love it!

Thank you for the tip! :thumbsup2 I am a little worried about the crowds at that time. I am trying to do my research here so I will be ready. I will make sure to get there early. I am looking forward to your next installment.

wow, we were there at the same time too! I actually LOOKED for myself in allllllll your great pix, nope, none of us,,,,,,,,,thankfully those werent my/our shoes/feet!lol:eek:
We waited in line for new Nemo show once from the huge yellow dinosaur statue in dinoland, and we got in...so dont despair,,,,,(got in line 30 min before show the 1st time, and 40 min b4 show the 2nd time) both seats were great cuz the show is fab!!!!!!!! Music rocks!!
My major question for u is .......why if u worked there did u not do Jungle trek before, and Fantasmic too? Why didnt u do EVERYTHING alot? I hope this isnt a rude question, I am just amazed but I do not want to be rude at all.;)

By the way....here are my two babies that I left behind.
