Updated Monorail Schedule Question

Does anyone have any information for May now that it is approaching? I will be staying at the Polynesian 5/14 - 5/21, and actually considered it for the monorail convenience (how ironic).

I know I can sub out the express to TTC and walk to Poly with the resort line.

I foresee the Epcot beam closure being most detrimental since I will be on the Boardwalk Sunday night with an ADR at Beaches and Cream after 10 pm, and Tuesday am since I plan on being at Epcot for rope drop (9am).

Does anyone have information on how late the water taxis will run, specifically between MK and Poly? I know I can bus from Boardwalk to MK, and then water taxi to Poly, but I am unsure if it will be open at 11pm/12am. Or if there are busses running from Epcot to Poly directly since the Epcot beam is closed?

Launch boats run from MK to Poly until MK park clears out. Busses run from the TTC to Epcot when the Epcot beam is closed, not from the poly. Your only issue would be Epcot for rope drop on Tuesday. As for the late night at BW, the modified hours wouldn't have mattered. Epcot beam always closes at 11pm or 1hr after MK closure (whichever comes first). With Epcot closing at 9pm, they wouldn't let you across the park from the IG to the front for the monorail after 10pm-ish. Below are the scheduled hours for your trip, always subject to change at any time.

Thank you for your help! I was unaware about the BW night, but will do the bus and water taxi and just walk to the TTC early for a bus to Epcot on my rope drop day!

If before 8:30 you'll have to thane the report bus from Contemp to TTC, then the Epcot bus from there at the TTC to Epcot. If after 8:30, resort monorail one stop from TTC, then Epcot bus from the TTC but that would be cutting it close.

Launch boat from the poly to the MK should open up a bit earlier, or there will be a bus running in place of the monorail loop being down. Stopping at the three hotels, TTC, and MK. Below are the scheduled hours for your trip, always subject to change at any time.

With a toddler and a 6 month old, we want to be able to go back to the GF during the day on the monorail, not the boat. Not having to fold up the stroller is a huge convenience, and also keeps the toddler contained

You won't have any issues. The resort monorail does not shut down midday. Only the express (TTC-MK).

I'm here now and highly recommend getting a Times Guide from your resort when you check in (if staying onsite). It has all the start times for things including the monorail. Definitely more detailed and easier to follow than what they publish online (apparently Disney enjoys killing trees).

Agreed, the times guides are updated weekly with the same times I post. Now as to why they don't post the times online for public access is beyond me! Hope your enjoying your trip!

The Resort monorail usually runs 1hour after the MK closes except for Sunday and Monday evenings when it shuts down at 12:00 midnight regardless of MK hours. Now that 1hour rule does not apply to EMH, then the rails would shutdown 1hr after the park closes to day guests. Rails no longer run for EMH.
