"updated" menus?

Thank you for the specific information. I'm glad to see that these items are still on the kid's menu, but am sorry to hear that they've been dumbed down.

I agree completely -- I hate when WDW "dumbs down" the menus. I think they are really underestimating the folks who go to Disney. We really don't have to have hamburgers on every menu guys!

I still miss the old menu at Spoodles when it really was a tapas bar type place.

I understand people not wanting to see favorites disappear from the menus, however, I am happy to see them add burgers, I hope that Coral Reef and Lecellier also add them to their dinner menu. We were there 8/13-8/19 on free dining with our 14 year old son. He isn't very picky, but likes somewhat plain food. Unless he wanted steak at everymeal he was out of luck. The chicken normally was prepared somewhat different. We asked at each place for plain chicken breast, or burger and was told he could have a kids meal - He ordered that many times, but since no plain appetizers such as wings, mozzerella sticks, etc... a kids meal wasn;t enough.

We have ressies at Tony's. So is the dessert sampler the only option for the dining plan? None of those really sound good to me. I was hoping to just order gellato. Do you know if gellato is an option?

They didn't give us a choice at Tony's but we didn't ask about anything else - I would thing the gelato costs less so they might be willing to substitute it.

Just today we cancelled our reservation at Les Chef's because of the menu change. There is an updated menu on Deb's website. I'm hoping that the changes in Le Cellier are not as drastic because we are eating there also.
$23 for a burger? And it's not even Kobe beef? Please - gimme a break!

Thankfully we will have some nice grilled porterhouse steaks for dinner at our campsite. Sorry to hear about the menu changes. We have been looking at the breakfast and lunch menus for ourself.

Burgers are alot cheaper to serve than filet mignon. That's why the filet is off the menu and the burger is on the menu at Les Chefs. Gee, a burger at Les Chefs -- now that's appealing! Soon, it won't be worth even bothering with any 1TS restaurants. Oh well. We can thank the "great value" of the DDP.

Didnt give us a choice either with dessert. Also the fried goat cheese wasnt on the menu. Which I was looking forward to trying.

This is a double whammy for me. I was really looking forward to Chefs as our last dinner on the free DDP. We were even hopping over there from MK. Plus I had my lunch all picked out at LeCelliers - beef dip for DD and me plus the dessert sample for us to share. I think I will cancel Chefs. :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

i was just told that they no longer offer add ons of shrimp and scallops at Spoodles. I'm sure disney caught on to the waiters pushing those on to increase the price. Can't blame the waiters or the diners, just sad to see the offer of add ons even for extra charge is no longer offered.

Now that is a shame. The fried goat cheese was darn good! :sad2:

We just returned from free dining.

Confirmed: there were no add-ons on the menu at Spoodles.
DH was able to add on scallops to his ceasar salad at Coral Reef (the place was not worth it, IMO).

We ate at Le Cellier twice - on the 13th and the 19th. The size of the moose from the 13th to the 19th had shrunk by roughly 1/3. Gosh, the new lunch sandwich sounds gross. Glad we chose to eat our last meal at Japan.

Just ate at Le Cellier. The only changes I noticed was the cheese sampler is gone and a crab and smoked salmon tarte has replaced it.

Bumping...because I want to know about more changes...San Angel and Nine Dragons anybody?
